The seca Medical Body Composition Analyser - or mBCA for short - is an invaluable tool for healthcare professionals that accurately categorises a patients bodily composition more accurately than conventional BMI.

The mBCA is the result of a rigorous research and testing by seca, validated against the scientific gold standard. Six analytical processes are used to process the unit's measurements and presented in easy-to understand graphics on a large, full colour touch-screen display.

Body composition is measured in terms of Fat Mass, Fat-Free Mass, Body Water and Skeletal Muscle Mass by an unique combination of platform- and handrail-mounted electrodes, which ensure measurements can be replicated.

The inbuilt class (III) scales have a capacity of 300kg making the unit suitable for a wide range of patients, and the mBCA connects wirelessly with seca's 360° range of height measures for a truly comprehensive solution.

The six modules (Energy, Fluid, Function/Rehabilitation, Development/Growth, Health Risk and Raw Impedance Data) offer innumerable diagnostic options, and the available modules can be altered to suit your unique requirements.
